In the annual Single Market and Competitiveness Report, and the new Competitiveness Compass, healthcare has been identified as a critical component of the EU’s growth agenda.
The European Health Union is a cornerstone of this agenda, aiming to ensure EU-wide collaboration to prepare for and respond to health crises, make medical supplies accessible and innovative, and enhance disease prevention, treatment, and aftercare.
Together, these efforts aim to strengthen resilience, ensure access to critical treatments, and position Europe as a global leader in pharmaceutical innovation and manufacturing.
